Recruitment of Company Secretary
The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., the then Nadar Bank Ltd., dates back to 1921. The thought of establishing a bank under the guidance of the able Nadar business community was mooted out in the Anniversary of Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. The proposal was effected soon. The bank was registered on May 11, 1921 as "The Nadar Bank Ltd".
A group of dedicated men with shrewd acumen and sound integrity had been constituted as Board of Directors and they elected Shri. M.V. Shanmugavel Nadar as Chairman on Nov 04, 1921. The bank was opened by Shri. T.V. Balagurusamy Nadar, the then President of the Nadar Mahajana Sangam and the bank threw open its door to the public on Nov 11, 1921 at 9 a.m. in Ana Mavanna Building at South Raja Street, Tuticorin.
Qualification: ACS (Associate member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India)
Age: Not less than 30 and not more than 50 Years as on 01-04-2009.
Experience: 5 years (Persons who have worked in the secretarial side in a Bank or Large NBFC or Financial Institutions will carry on advantage).
Pay and allowances: Comparable to Industry Salary and Compensations. Selected candidate will be absorbed in Scale IV. Higher Scale shall be considered for deserving case. In Scale IV the Gross Emolument will be Rs.33,380/- p.m (Basic+DA) approximately (Subject to upward revision). In addition, he/she is eligible for facilities like, Gratuity, Pension, Leave Encashment, and Leave Fare Concession for self & dependent family members, Bank's Accommodation or Leased Accommodation, Reimbursement of Conveyance Charges/Fuel Expenses, Entertainment Expenses, Medical Aid & Hospitalization Expenses for self & dependent family members, etc. as applicable under Bank's rules.
Procedure of Selection: The candidates should appear for interview. The place, date and time for interview will be communicated to the eligible candidates individually.
Place of Posting: The above position would be at Thoothukudi, Tamilnadu or any other place depending upon management needs.
Last Date for Submission of Application is January 20, 2010: The Bank reserves the right to reject any application without assigning any reason and Bank's decision in the matter of eligibility, conduct of interview and selection would be final. No correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Bank which may please be noted. The Decision of the Bank is final.
