Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Recruitment of Clerks 2010

Recruitment of clerks in Tamilnad Mercantile Bank.
The history of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd., the then Nadar Bank Ltd., dates back to 1921. The thought of establishing a bank under the guidance of the able Nadar business community was mooted out in the Anniversary of Nadar Mahajana Sangam held at Tuticorin in 1920. The proposal was effected soon. The bank was registered on May 11, 1921 as "The Nadar Bank Ltd".
Qualification: A Graduate with 55% marks or a Post Graduate, from a recognized University in regular course with knowledge in Computer Operations.
Age: Maximum: For Graduates: 24 years and for Post Graduates 26 years as on Mar 31, 2010.
Relaxation for MBC / BC will be 2 years. Relaxation for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped will be 5 years.
Fee: Candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs. 200.00 (Rs. 100.00 for SC / ST Candidates) by way of crossed demand draft drawn in favour of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Ltd. Payable at Thoothukudi / Tuticorin.
Procedure for selection: The candidates should appear for written examination to be held at Tambaram (Chennai), Podanur (Coimbatore), Bangalore, Hyderabad, Madurai, Salem, Tirunelveli, Trichy, and Thoothukudi centres. The written examination will be of objective type. After evaluation on the basis of the written test, candidates will be short listed for an interview in the order of merit.
Training / Probationary Period: Selected candidates will be placed for On-the-Job Training for six months and thereafter on probation for a further period for six months. During On-the-Job Training period the candidates will be paid a stipend of Rs. 6000/- p.m. On successful completion of On-the-Job training and on complying the terms stipulated at the time of joining they will be placed in the Scale of Pay as applicable to clerical cadre of the Bank.

The selected candidates will be posted anywhere in INDIA.

Last Date for Online e-Application Filling is Apr 07, 2010. Please note, the last date for Online e-Application Filling is Apr 07, 2010 and the Hard Copy of the said e-Application along with the enclosures stated above should reach us within 5 days from the date of online e-application filling but not later than Apr 12, 2010. On receipt of the application, the same shall be verified and eligible applicants will be communicated individually by post / email with details about the written test / interview to be attended. The bank will not entertain any correspondence / emails / phone calls in regards to this recruitment process whatsoever. The decision of the bank in the selection of the candidates at every stage is final.

Any application submitted without registering online e-Application will not be considered.
